Ben and Paula met at the University of Georgia while volunteering at Grady News Source. While prepping for shows, the two got to know each other developing a friendship. After their time volunteering ended, the two took separate career paths, not crossing paths again until two years later. The pair shared mutual friends and went to dinner as a group. Their connection was undeniable as they shared conversation as if no time had passed. Ben asked Paula on their first date soon after, planning a surprise for Paula. He played her favorite songs on an acoustic guitar and the two sang and laughed the night away. The couple maintained a long-distance relationship sharing many adventures together. On one of their planned trips to Australia and New Zealand, Ben asked Paula to marry him. She said yes exclaiming she fell in love with him first due to his kindness. The soon to be bride and groom began planning their outdoor winter wedding day.

A magical forest wedding was the couple’s vision for their beautiful day. Their venue was the perfect location for their classic style and accommodation preferences. The couple adored the family-management style of the venue along with the layout. Ben and Paula wanted to make sure their guests knew they were loved and appreciated. They focused on personable details such as handwritten letters, a live Christmas tree planting, and a fun Carpool Karaoke station. Their nature focused romantic wedding was a ‘magical forest’ day as described by Paula’s father. With winter inspired decor and an abundance of unique greenery-forward floral pieces  their wedding day vision came to life like a dream.

Paula wore a stunning white classic gown with Mikado fabric and Steve Madden flats embroidered with the wedding date and name. Ben wore a traditional custom made black tux with cufflinks from Paula’s late grandmother. After the couple got ready for their special day, they shared a first prayer and help hands through a wall to avoid seeing each other before the ceremony. Ben sang to Paula as an admiration to their first date. Their following heartfelt ceremony began the wedding day. The pair shared a choreographer first danced and shared valuable time with their guests. Their advice to couple’s currently planning their wedding to ‘trust their vendors, reminding themselves that this is their profession.’ Ben and Paula has a blast during the planning process and say that it is important to ‘do your best to make your wedding day a reflection of each individual and you’.
