Carie and Thomas were meant to be from the beginning of their love story. The couple met at a bar in Carlsbad, California. Carie and her friend happened to sit next to Thomas and the group began a conversation. Since Carie was new to the city at the time, Thomas offered to be her tour guide which led to a week of adventure. The pair were immediately close friends and began dating a few months later when Thomas returned home from a trip to Alaska. After moving to Las Vega, Nevada for three years together, Carie’s job brought her to Nashville, Tennessee. For almost two years, the couple remained long distance due to career changes. On one July fourth celebration, Carie was celebrating with friends on a hike. Thomas surprised her by visiting Tennessee on that day and proposed. The beautiful couple say that they were in such shock over the joyful moment that they couldn’t remember their responses to each other. They ended up engaged and spent the rest of the day celebrating with friends.

Soft mauve, organic colors were featured throughout the couple’s gorgeous wedding day. Their photographer says, “They kept their colors soft and their dance party kicking!” Carie wore a fitted, lace gown with intricate embroidery and a low back. Each member of her bridal party wore mauve dresses in a style of their choice. To compliment the bridal party gowns, the mother of the bride wore a deep eggplant gown while the mother of the groom wore a cream sequin dress. Each groomsman wore grey suits with black ties while the groom wore a white tie. After getting ready, Carie and Thomas chose to share a first look which would become one of their most treasured moments from the day. The ceremony took place at a boxwood garden with fun personalized touches such as their sweet dog being the ring bearer. Guests could also sign a wooden Tennessee sign upon arrival that the couple still has displayed within their home.

Grapes and figs were uniquely displayed on guest tables along with fresh floral arrangements created by a family friend. The couple chose to splurge on an open bar and a full menu for their guests. After enjoying heartfelt speeches that they will remember forever, the newlyweds were ready to cut the cake. Carie and Thomas say their maple and lemon cake was their favorite part of their wedding day food. The couple also enjoyed photography throughout the day as they can look back on the memories forever. Carie and Thomas advise those who are soon to be married to hire a wedding coordinator to assist with the planning process. They say they were “Able to enjoy every moment of their wedding from planning to goodbyes” due to the professional help. Carie and Thomas shared a truly magical wedding day amongst their family and friends.
