Cate and Lance's wedding day was an intimate celebration with their closest friends and family. The couple and their loved ones traveled from Alaska to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for their destination wedding. Members of Cate’s family offered their local inn as the venue for their wedding. Cate and Lance were overjoyed as the stunning inn does not typically host weddings. The couple recommends the Buckhorn Inn to others as the perfect anniversary celebration or getaway! With the backdrop of the Smoky Mountains, pops of color, and a cozy ambiance offered from their venue, their special day was a dream. Cate and Lance married in a beautiful ceremony outdoors then held their reception inside of their venue.

Bright orange, neutrals, and greenery were featured throughout the couple’s wedding. All floral features were created by a family friend. Lance wore a gray suit paired with a burgundy tie. Cate wore a stunning A-line full-length gown lace and tulle details. She wore mustard, velvet heels and simple diamond earrings to complete her look. Orange florals with fresh greenery accessorized the full wedding party. The flower girls wore matching flower crowns and floral pattern dresses with rose gold ballet slippers. Each held ribbon decorated baskets. Live instrumentals such the harp played during the ceremony. Cate and Lance’s guests enjoyed a delightful four meal during the reception that followed, provided by the venue. Guest tables featured simple rimmed plates with orange linens and florals. Each guest’s name was written on a place card at their table.

While guests enjoyed the venue, Cate and Lance captured photos, an aspect they knew was important to them from the moment they began wedding planning. They cherish the memories from their special day. The venue offered a stunning outdoor site for photography. Heartfelt speeches and toasts were shared during the reception. To end the reception, Cate and Lance included a cake cutting. Their three-tiered cake was made locally in Tennessee and was decorated with various unique florals. Cate and Lance adored celebrating among those that were closest to them with each guest adding an important value to their wedding day!
