Makenzie and Logan share a beautiful story. The pair first met briefly in high school but did not get to know each other until a few years later. When Logan returned on leave from the Army, the couple went to dinner on their first date. Their proposal story will hold a heartfelt meaning for Makenzie and Logan forever. As the couple was running errands, the conversation of marriage occurred. The pair talked about how they were meant to be for over two hours. The couple were sure they desired to get married but were not certain as to when. When Logan returned to his home and spoke to his mother, he was given his grandmother’s ring. His mom said this was “just in case” he decided to propose. For the couple’s proposal story, Logan immediately took the ring and proposed to Mackenzie. Mackenzie said yes, and wedding day planning began.

Mackenzie’s wedding day vision included elegant yet simple details with neutral colors and a romantic theme. The couple chose to feature white, navy, gold and nude throughout their wedding. A vineyard venue site offered the perfect backdrop for the couple’s wedding. Mackenzie had always dreamed of getting married at a vineyard. The bride and bridesmaids wore gold accessories for a statement against neutral dresses. The groom and groomsmen wore simple navy slacks with white shirts and bowties that coordinated with the entire wedding party. Artificial peonies and eucalyptus decorated the venue featuring throughout the bouquets, arbor, and centerpieces. Mackenzie loved that each floral arrangement could be saved and repurposed even after the wedding.

Their wedding cake was decorated with gold accents and lace to match the bridal gown. For favors, since the weather was warmer, handheld fans were gifted to each guest. For personal aspects, handmaid signs along with the wedding menu were created by friends and family. The couple valued the memories captured from photography and decided to dedicate a portion of their budget towards photography. After the ceremony, Logan and Mackenzie enjoyed a moment alone to celebrate with their first meal as a married couple. They advise couples that are planning their wedding to “Not be afraid to speak up to vendors or family about what you like and don’t like, want or don’t want- it’s your day!”
