Erin and Bret were meant to be. The couple met on the tinder dating app and had their first date three days later.  They had undeniable chemistry and were together ever since. Bret surprised Erin for their proposal story on their first anniversary. During a hiking trip to a beautiful waterfall at Oak Mountain State Park, Bret proposed. Erin said yes and the two got to celebrate alongside their family enjoying lunch after their hike. This day would be their best memory yet. The two began planning for their beautiful day.

The couple knew they loved the idea of an outdoor wedding but desired the features of an indoor venue. Micah’s meadow at Mathews Manor offered the perfect space with an indoor ceremony and reception site while offering a space for outdoor photos. This was also an all-inclusive venue which the pair desired to ease the planning process.  Erin knew including natural greenery was an important part of their bright, airy, and organic wedding day theme.  Paired with the bright neutrals and greenery in their bouquets, Erin’s bridesmaids wore full length gowns in a light aqua color. Erin chose a lace fitted wedding gown with a slight train to suit her style. Bret and his groomsmen wore navy suits with boutonnieres that complimented the displayed wedding day florals.

Erin and Bret enjoyed dinner privately while their ceremony space was flipped for their reception. They recommend this to any couple’s getting married as this provides a time alone during the event. Photography was a valued aspect of their wedding and the couple enjoyed the memories captured from their day. Photos were captured pre-ceremony for their first look and during the reception at the outdoor site provided by the venue. The pair chose to skip a videographer as they felt photos would be most memorable for their day. Fresh greenery, hydrangeas and peonies decorated the ceremony and reception site along with handmade signs. The couple chose their favorite flavors of cookies to gift as favors to their guests. Erin and Bret’s advice for those planning their wedding is to “do what makes you happy even if it isn’t the “norm”!
