Intimate Tennessee Forest Wedding

Megan and Will met during Will's senior year of high school when he transferred to Red Bank High School where Megan went. On the third day at the new school, he was drinking water at the fountain and Megan caught a glimpse at him. She had always gone to school with the same kids her whole life and so Will stood out. She yelled out at him and locked her eyes on him. He looked over and approached Megan. They introduced themselves and the next day began dating. The day Will proposed, they had gone and out to eat at their favorite restaurant and then went to a little ice cream shop near their home. Will had started acting weird once they got home and when Megan least expected it. He got down on one knee and proposed!

Megan and Will love being outside and have always enjoyed being in nature. When planning their wedding vision, they knew they had to incorporate that somehow into their wedding. For colors, they went with dark purple and Megan has always thought that the navy looked good in navy. They also tied in forest themed colors such as greens, browns and watery blues. The bride's attire was a trumpet gown with lace overlay across the chest and with a keyhole back. The bridesmaids wore different purpled colored dresses. The groom wore a navy tuxedo with a silver tie with brown accessories and the groomsmen matched. The wedding flowers were white and purple roses with eucalyptus to tie everything together.

One of their most special moment was seeing each other for the first time at the ceremony. They incorporated DIY decorations such as a sign that a friend has made for them saying, "From Hey You to I do." Some advice from the couple is, "Choose a Venue you feel comfortable at.
I told Megan I wanted to get married at the Hiwassee River Weddings venue because it felt so fitting to us as a couple. The natural setting and beautiful scenery is the perfect backdrop. A few days after we met, we went down to a river and stood there talking and holding each other. That was the first time I felt that feeling like I had known her for a thousand years before."
