Disney Inspired Garden Wedding

View More Photos

Ben and Kristina met at a local minor league baseball game. They would even say that "meeting each other was a definite home run!" Since the game, they had become inseparable. The day Ben proposed to Kristina was on her dad's 70th birthday. They were surrounded by all her family and the people she loved the most. Disney had always been apart of their lives and classic Disney movies were one of Kristina's favorites. Their fairytale wedding colors were navy, gold, and light pink which worked perfectly with the gold accents at their reception venue.

The bride's attire was a gown from Stella York that was off the shoulder, champagne, lace, and form-fitted in the hips. It was inspired by one of Kristina's favorite Disney princess, Belle! The bridesmaids wore dresses that were all in the same color with pink sequin but in different styles. The groom's attire was a navy suit that was lightweight material with pink ties to match the bridesmaids. The groomsmen matched the groom. The wedding bouquets were made out of a different arrangement of flowers. The groom and groomsmen had boutonnieres that were made out of calla lilies, the groom's favorite!

The wedding cake was made up of three layers, one chocolate, another yellow with raspberry filling and last strawberry. The cake had a hidden Mickey in the cake and the topper was picked out by Ben which was Minnie and Mickey Mouse kissing. All of the centerpieces, signs, and decorations were DIY to save some money. The favorite part of their wedding day was coming down the aisle to a surprise, Kristina's work therapy dog standing tall with the groomsmen. Another favorite memory of theirs was receiving a scrapbook filled with notes and photographs from Kristina's family and friends. Kristina also wore her aunt's blue sapphire diamond ring.

Some advice Kristina and Ben would like to share is, "Just remember at the end of the day that this day is not only about you and your future spouse but it also about the people who have helped you get to this point, family, friends, and coworkers, so take time to show them love and appreciation during this huge milestone in your all's lives. Search for second-hand wedding decoration and dresses on Facebook, fancy flip and Craig list. I found my wedding dress on Facebook, all of my decorations were secondhand including my plates and flatware. Then after your wedding help the next bride out and sell your items discounted so they can have their special day."
