Elegant Barn Fall Wedding

View More Photos

Marley and Cameron met through mutual friends at a University of Southern Mississippi baseball game. They instantly knew they both had clicked after spending the rest of the night together. Cameron proposed by leaving a letter with instructions to put on a dress and to meet him at the front of the campus at a certain time. Marley began asking many questions and Cameron began to tell her the real reason why he made her met him. At the end of their walk, they arrived at roses laying on the sidewalk and the engagement ring in the middle. Cameron then got down on one knee and proposed to Marley, she said yes!

Marley has always wanted a wedding that was simple but elegant. She loves simple colors, so she decided to go with the navy suits for the groomsmen and champagne dresses for the bridesmaids. She had floral décor arranged with white roses with greenery and burgundy to add a pop of color into the mix. Marley’s favorite part of the day was the first look. She was calm and collected the whole time while getting ready but then had burst into happy tears when she saw Cameron.

The décor for the wedding was arrangements of white and burgundy roses mixed. The bride's cake was an almond cake with white cream cheese icing and was decorated with flowers on top and draping down the side. The groom’s cake was chocolate cake with chocolate icing and Southern Mississippi theme. They add personal touches but including handmade wooden lanterns at the ceremony. Another personal touch was that they cut a piece of lace from her grandmother's dress and wrapped it around the stems of Marley’s bouquet.

The advice the couple would like to share is, "The best advice given to me while planning was to make sure to do it together as a couple. Often brides like to do it themselves but make it a priority to do it together so you will always have those special memories. Planning can be stressful but having your spouse along your side keeps you calm and makes it always enjoyable.”
