Formal Atlanta Wedding

James and Jessica were introduced at a mutual friend’s birthday party...

James appeared in a dream of Jessica’s where he was dressed as an elf decorating a Christmas tree. Obviously, this intrigued James and he asked Jessica out for dinner. As they say, the rest is history.

Shortly after moving in together, Jessica was diagnosed with breast cancer. They say that going through and fighting that together only made them stronger as a couple. A little while later James told Jessica that he was taking her to the mountains for her birthday. In reality, he was planning something much more exciting! Jessica was packed and ready to go to North Georgia when James told her that she needed to repack her bag and get ready to go to the airport. James told Jessica that he planned to take her to the mountains in California. When the plane landed, Jessica realized where she was exactly. She was right next to Disneyland!

James told her that that’s where they were going for her birthday. When they got to the park, they walked directly to the Cinderella’s castle and James dropped down on one knee and proposed. During all of this excitement, Jessica didn’t notice 21 of her friends and family that were hiding in the shadows to wait for the right time to pop out and surprise her.

The vision of their wedding was a fairytale wedding theme and they delivered! They wanted their wedding to be very classic, romantic, and warm. They decided to get married at James family’s home church in Decatur. They chose their reception venue to be at the Biltmore, Ballrooms. This was the perfect fit for their “as if you were a princess” theme. They decorated the ballroom reception with blues, creams, and gold. They wanted their reception to feel like a royal banquet!

The most important thing to Jessica and James while planning their wedding was the personal touches that they could add to their special night. The couple wanted their guests to be able to know that it was their wedding as soon as they walked into the door.
