Dusty Blue and Peach Wedding

Kaera and Adam met at a small school in southeastern Kentucky where they quickly became friends. For about two years their relationship was strictly confined to being “study partners” until finally, they decided to accept the fact that they were meant to be more than just friends. The couple was vacationing in Gatlinburg, Tennessee with Adam’s family when he finally got down on one knee and popped the question in what was supposed to be a field of beautiful sunflowers, Kaera’s favorite flower. The sunflowers didn’t make it through the scorching summer, but the couple says that even that couldn’t put a damper on that day!

Kaera and Adam are brunch people and thought that having a brunch wedding could only be a dream. Throughout the entirety of the couple’s long-distance relationship, brunch had always been their “thing” on the weekends. They decided to go for it anyway, after all, it was their big day! Their Charleston destination wedding was complete with mimosas, bloody marys, and a donut cake!

They knew that the location of their wedding had to match the sweet morning wedding vibes that they were hoping for. The couple loved the historic feel of downtown Charleston, so once they found their perfect destination the rest fell into place. Kaera and Adam brought an arbor that was made out of copper piping and some drapery. This was the perfect classy arbor against their rooftop venue. The fresh flowers mixed with the fresh air made for the perfect intimate Charleston brunch wedding.

The most important thing to Kaera and Adam while planning their wedding was the photography and their food. They wanted to make sure that since their guests were having to wake up early for their wedding that they had some good food and coffee for them. They decided to have live music to set an intimate mood for their ceremony.

The couple’s favorite part of their wedding day had to be their first look. This started off their day in an ivy-covered alley that had a stereotypical peach-colored building at the end. This was the perfect place to capture the first time that Adam had seen Kaera in her wedding dress.

Kaera and Adam urge other couples planning their weddings to stick to what they want, even if it seems like it could only happen in a dream.
