Romantic Mountain Engagement

Adiaha & Matt’s stormy engagement session is every little bit of mountain romance that we could ever imagine. The fog parted and the rain sprinkles stopped just in time for this mountain engagement shoot, on romantic Roane Mountain in Roane Mountain State Park, TN.

Matt & Adahia’s story started when Matt was in 3rd grade. He told his mom and aunt that he was going to marry Adiaha, and in-fact, he pointed her out to them. After dating on and off during school, he planned a big scavenger hunt to pop the big question, but when he couldn’t wait a minute longer he decided to ask Adiaha in the living room because the ring “was burning a hole in his pocket.” Matt is definitely a man who couldn’t wait any longer to spend the rest of his life with the woman of his dreams, and proposed with a white gold diamond halo ring by Neil Lain from Kay’s Jewelers.

Although the day of the shoot was actually cold and sprinkling rain, Matt & Adahia praised their photographers for making them feel comfortable the whole time, and letting that beautiful mountain backdrop be the perfect setting for their photos. The actually said, “We had a blast during our photo session!”

Adiaha admits that her Type-A personality could have been a little tricky in the planning of this beautiful engagement shoot and their wedding, but after seeing so many brides not be able to enjoy their wedding day due to control & stress issues, she decided to make sure everyone including herself had a stress-free wonderful time. Now we all know that no matter how much you plan every little detail of a wedding, something is always going to test your patience, and boy oh boy did it ever. Unfortunately, Adiaha’s 7-year-old daughter got her hand stuck in an elevator right before the ceremony and they had to call the fire department to get her free. Thankfully, Adahia dried her and her daughter’s tears and as she put it, “slapped on some more eye make up” and went on to have a blast. She exclaimed that it, “Turned out to be my true dream wedding”. We are so here for this amazing happy ending!
