Elegant, Vintage Wedding in Pittsburgh

As wedding planners, it is in our job description to stay current on the latest styles and trends in the wedding industry. After all, the fact everything changes is one of the few things that are constant in this line of work (other than seeing couples profess their love and commitment to one another in front of their family and friends that is!). But there is something about the vintage that we cannot get enough of! In fact, we love it when couples find a way to incorporate modern ideas into the days of old. So, we had to share Brittany and Corey’s wedding with you! The couple was married just shy of their anniversary of their first date twelve years ago at The Grand Concourse, a vintage train station that provided the perfect backdrop to say “I Do” in front of 140 of their closest family and friends. We are confident that Brittany and Corey’s wedding will give you inspiration for your own vintage wedding!

Brittany and Corey both grew up in the same small town in Ohio. However, the couple didn’t meet one another until they both attended high school. During their school years, Brittany and Corey became close friends. But it wasn’t until the pair went to college at Ohio State that romantic feelings began to blossom and the couple eventually began dating. Years later, Corey asked Brittany to marry him while walking along the Seine in Paris, near the Cathedral of Notre Dame!

The couple absolutely loved the Grand Concourse from the moment they saw it! The Grand Concourse was originally built in 1901 and exudes a time of days gone by. Brittany and Corey wanted to go with more of a vintage theme so they knew that this was the place for them! The couple wanted to go with minimal decoration as the venue is so ornate! Instead Brittany and Corey chose to focus on little details to compliment the venue, such as a vintage suitcase for cards, train ticket escort cards (which the groom designed himself!), and various décor that compliments the venue perfectly.

The most important thing to Brittany and Corey while planning was making sure the day was fun for their guests. The couple’s favorite part of the day was not only dancing during the reception, but to also see their guests having fun with the slow-motion booth as well as having a popcorn bar! The couple really went out of their way to ensure that each guest had an unforgettable experience.

We love getting to share a vintage style wedding and hope you find inspiration for your own wedding!
