Emily and Pierre first met at Pontoon, a trendy bar on St Kilda beach. Emily had gone there with her friend. When they arrived, Emily’s friend saw her friend, Pierre, at the bar. Turns out that she was friends with a girl that Pierre had dated almost a decade prior. Once Emily’s friend introduced them, the rest became history!

Pierre’s proposal is so sweet! Pierre’s birthday is on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, and Emily had arranged to take Pierre out to dinner. Before going inside the restaurant, Pierre suggested that the couple should take a few photos. They stopped a passerby and asked if they could take their photo. While Emily was posing, Pierre got down on one knee and proposed! The passerby quickly switched from photo to video mode, and the couple have photos and videos of the proposal.

Emily and Pierre’s engagement period lasted for 6 months before tying the knot, so Pierre and Emily had to decide on the little details very quickly. From the very beginning, the bride had a vision in mind. The vision for the wedding was vintage glamour and we think they accomplished that beautifully! Stunning whites, creams, and pinks surrounded the bride and groom. The ceremony took place on the balcony of the Melbourne Town Hall while the reception was held at The George Ballroom. Beautiful columns were featured on both sites and both exuded an Old World charm, making them the perfect places for the couple to celebrate, while being surrounded by 100 of their closest family and friends.

The bride’s gown is absolutely stunning! Emily chose a one-of-a-kind gown by Tanya Didenko Bridal Couture. What is so amazing is that the bride never tried on any gowns at all! Emily went to Tanya with various photos of different designs that she liked and Tanya took elements from each design to make this unique gown. Following in the custom made trend, the groomsmen’s suits were made by Pierre’s youngest brother! Pierre’s brother owns a tailoring business in Sydney, so he became the obvious choice! The bridesmaids’ dresses were also custom designed by Love Honor. A lot like the bride’s gown, Emily sent the designers photos of what she had in mind, and the designers created these gorgeous dresses that fit each girl perfectly.

The highlight of Emily’s day was definitely when Emily saw Pierre at the end of the aisle. His reaction to seeing her was so touching! Getting to walk with her father made the experience even more memorable!
