Intimate Outdoor Winter Wedding

View More Photos

When a person initially thinks of a February wedding, you have a tendency to think of colder temperatures and indoor ceremony. This wedding was the weekend proceeding Valentine’s Day and was absolutely gorgeous, warm, and sunny! Grace and Bryan got married at a quaint Capen House in Winter Park. The day was filled with love and tears of joy as the couple got married in front of seventy-five of their closest family and friends.

Grace and Bryan met through mutual friends. The pair were in their senior year of college at University of Central Florida, when a friend invited them to a pool party. Once meeting there, the couple began dating and they have been together ever since! For Bryan’s proposal, he decided to propose while vacationing with Grace’s family to Italy! Bryan chose one of the most romantic spots in Rome: The Trevi Fountain! While admiring the fountain, Bryan proposed to Grace and of course she said yes!

Grace and Bryan picked the Capen House through a bridal website. When looking for venues, it was the only one that the couple had never heard of, which piqued their curiosity! Once they looked at Capen House’s website, they fell in love! It wasn’t until they toured the property that the couple knew that it would be perfect for them, and they immediately booked it on the spot!

Due to the fact that the couple would be married the weekend following Valentine’s Day, the couple chose burgundy and blush for their colors! We love how the burgundy and blush complimented the venue perfectly! The bridesmaids look stunning in their burgundy dresses! Grace decided to pick out the color, but to let the girls pick out the style that was most comfortable and flattering for their body. Bryan and the groomsmen were outfitted with navy suits and ties matching the burgundy dresses. However, the real showstopper is Grace’s wedding gown! We love this stunning v neck silhouette, with sheer sleeves and back. Not only was it a slam dunk for us here at The Bride Link, but it was a favorite among all of the bridesmaids and Grace’s stepmother.

Grace and Bryan chose to splurge on the tent and many table décor items. The couple wanted everyone to be wowed by the table. Flowers by Lesley did a fantastic job with the centerpieces and greenery through the reception site. The Bride and Groom chose a beautiful clear tent to enhance the reception site! We love that the guests can are able to dine under the stars while staying dry against any potential rainfall. A handmade welcome sign and seating chart adds a touch of rustic elements that compliment the wedding beautifully!

Grace really wanted to incorporate her late mother into the wedding. A memory chair was set aside in honor of her mother. A picture of Grace’s mother and her as a child was placed on the chair, along with a single white rose. Grace also chose to honor her mother by wearing a pair of her earrings as well as her ring. Her mother’s locket was tied around Grace’s bouquet and was carried down the aisle.

The couple advises couples that even though weddings can be stressful, seeing everything come together makes it all worth it! Grace adds couples to keep things personal to the two of you! Looking at photos of real weddings helped Grace and Bryan tremendously!

We loved getting to share Grace and Bryan’s wedding and we wish the couple a lifetime of happiness and joy!
