Bohemian Outdoor Wedding

Bohemian themed weddings are currently trending and we cannot get enough of them! From the flower crowns to the three tiered ombre cake, Jamie and Cody's wedding was the ideal in Bohemian weddings! The couple, along with their lovely bridesmaids and groomsmen, were wed at Succop Nature Park, and we loved every moment of it!

Jamie and Cody first met in middle school! However, like many school friendships, they lost touch with one another once school had finished. The couple were reconnected at a friends surprise birthday party at Seven Springs Ski Resort, years later, and have been together ever since! But as sweet as their love story might be, Cody's proposal is even sweeter! Jamie and Cody had planned a weekend ski trip to Seven Springs over Valentine's Day. After a bit of skiing, the couple arrived at the top of the mountain. Since it was a beautiful day, Cody suggested that they take a picture at the  top of the mountain. As they were posing for photos, Cody got down on one knee and popped the question! As an added surprise, when Cody and Jamie had made their way down to the lodge to celebrate their engagement, Cody surprised Jamie with both of their families waiting to celebrate with them!

Jamie tells us that since the setting of Succop Nature Park was so beautiful on its own, she immediately knew that it didn't need anything. Both Cody and Jamie love being outdoors so they really wanted something full of nature. Succop Nature Park was the only one the couple went to look at and both immediately knew that it was perfect! Cody and Jamie wanted lots of greenery, with pops of bright pinks and touches of gold and neutrals. Although the couple loved the nature of the setting and how everything was so laid back, it was also important for all of their guests to have an amazing time!

In order for Jamie and Cody to ensure that their guests had an unforgettable experience, they both knew that they needed amazing vendors to implement their vision. Jamie chose to be extra selective when it came to choosing a photographer. She also mentions that the couple chose to splurge on a fantastic florist. Since the venue was based in nature, Cody and Jamie wanted the flowers to be the main decorations which pulled everything together! We love the flower crowns around the bride and the bridesmaids! The bride was excited to discover a giant peony bush right by the ceremony site that matched their wedding flowers exactly! The couple were only able to visit the venue during the winter months so they had no idea that the bush would be there! Having a great DJ was vital for the bride and groom because they knew that he was the one to keep the party going! The couple talked to us about how their DJ kept everyone out on the dance floor for the entire night!

The bride tells us that her choice of wedding dress was a surprising one. Jamie is not normally a glitter person, but somehow she fell in love with an elegant Sottero and Midgley wedding dress that was covered in beading and bling! For the bridesmaids, Jamie decided to chose a few neutral tones of dresses from Bridal Beginning that she liked and then let the women choose which style would feel the most comfortable in. Cody and the groomsmen all wore grey tuxedos from Tuxedo Junction that ensured that the color palette would remain neutral.

The couple shared with us their favorite moments of the day. For Jamie, she loved that she could look out into the crowd during the ceremony and reception and just see all of the people that they loved and cared about there for them and having a good time! Cody adds that his most memorable moments were when he and his new bride got to sneak away from everyone and spend a few minutes by themselves as husband and wife. The couple went over to the campfire and made s'mores and talked about their day! How sweet is that!

Jamie and Cody shares their advice for couples who are currently planning their wedding. The couple suggests that newly engaged couples should start early in their wedding planning! Jamie says that they had all of their vendors booked in the very early stages of their planning which made it easier to make the smaller decisions along the way! They also advise to take a moment during your wedding day and take a step back to take it all in!

We are in love with this Bohemian outdoor wedding and we hope you will be too!
