Some of our favorite engagement sessions are those that utilize all the amazing locations in the city that the couple is in. Sara and Brandt got their amazing engagement photos taken with Ailyn La Torre Photography in Washington D.C. The amazing colors of the turning leaves, the cool weather and the iconic locations made the photos look absolutely gorgeous! Everything about the couple (whose outfits were crushing it!) were what photographer dreams are made of.

The couple had to work really hard to coordinate with Ailyn to schedule in the fall photo session. Ailyn flew into D.C. and only had seven hours that day in the city to make it happen. She shared that the quick fay was worth it and that she cannot wait for their Meridien House fall wedding this coming year! For only having seven hours in the city, Ailyn sure made the most of her time. We are so excited that everything ended up working out because their photos are stunning.

For their engagement photos, the couple gorgeous landmarks and special locations throughout the city. Sara and Brandt met in college at Georgetown University and the stopped by the campus to take some breathtaking shots. We love it when couples take photos at locations that mean something to them. They also took photos in the streets of D.C., at the Jefferson memorial and at an amazing wooded location. Every location was incredibly gorgeous and everything the couple wore was the perfect fit for each location.

Sara and Brandt’s engagement story also seems to fit them perfectly! While vacationing in Havana, Cuba, they started the day with a private salsa lesson. Afterward, they headed to lunch at the historic Hotel Nacional overlooking the bay. The proposal was somewhat spontaneous as neither Sara or Brandt had been there before. When Sara gasped at the unexpected and breathtaking view, Brandt took that as his cue, leading her to a grassy secluded area, getting down on one knee and popping the question! Brandt gave Sara an oval diamond solitaire with a white gold band. We are swooning at their adorable engagement!
