Organic Nashville Wedding

The love between Turner and Josh was evident from the start of their entire wedding day. The connection they shared was inspiring. Choosing to have an elegant and traditional ceremony, they held their ceremony in the Heritage Chapel of their home church, First Church of the Nazarene and held their exciting reception at the Mansion of Fontanel. The whole day was packed with family and friends, laughter and a passionate connection between the happy bride and groom. Sarah Nichole Photography captured Turner and Josh’s beautiful day in Nashville.

The couple met at church one Sunday and soon started dating. Josh brought both of their families together to watch the Solar Eclipse last August to surprise Turner. After arriving at the park they always took walks at, Josh proposed and then both families came out of hiding. Turner had no idea he had their families there to join in on the festivities!

After the proposal, the couple soon got to work on planning the wedding. While Turner did not have much of a vision for what the wedding would look like, she knew she wanted teal colors with a dash of a fall feel to it. Turner credits her florist and coordinator for doing an amazing job at making her scattered thoughts into something truly wonderful.

Before the ceremony, the couple wrote each other letters and they did a “first touch” where they were able to exchange letters and hold hands. One of Turner’s favorite parts of the day was when she exchanged the letter, she included her purity ring she had worn since high school. She also shared that it was important think for her while planning the wedding was that the ceremony included a foot washing ceremony between they two of them.

The groom and his groomsmen wore navy suits of their choice and the bridesmaids wore peacock-colored short dresses of their choice. The bride wore a gorgeous dress from Posh Bridal, with her great grandmother’s watch and grandmother-in-law’s bracelet.

The wedding flowers were very simple and elegant, with hydrangeas as the main flower and accent flowers to help brighten the colors. The florist incorporated sunflowers, roses and fluffy flowers that were very fun. Another element we loved about their big day was the ice cream sandwiches they served as dessert from Oliver’s Icebox. This organic Nashville wedding was such a fun day and the couple did a great job with incorporating details that best represented the couple. We so enjoyed getting to see how this couple was represented through their big day.
