Love in a Coffeehouse

View More Photos

Leave it to a coffee shop engagement shoot to give us all the warm and cozy feels! Amy and Aaron had their shoot at the location of their first date after they met a little over two years ago at work. Aaron was a manager and Amy was an employee, and Amy shared that they did NOT like each other at first. They ended up going on a date to a burger joint and then moved to Honeybee Coffee, a downtown coffee shop. Aaron’s wooing won Amy’s heart and they chose to celebrate their love for each other and for coffee by going back to where it all started.

Aaron and Amy first started off as friends (after they got over not liking each other) and then began meeting up after work. After several months, Amy left for a different company and they decided to start dating. It seems the rest is history!

After getting to know each other and deciding that they were meant to be, Aaron planned to proposal to Amy. However, the proposal came much quicker than either of them expected. The couple was getting ready to leave for Thanksgiving at his family’s house when he popped the question. Aaron was so overwhelmed with love as they were talking about all the things they were grateful for that year and decided to propose right then and there. We love how overcome Aaron was with his love for Amy he decided to propose on such a special day! Aaron gave Amy a freshwater pearl from Marks and Morgan Jewelers. It features 3 diamonds on each side and is made with white gold.

To the shoot, Amy wore an adorable white sweater top from Rosie Daze Boutique and leggings from Target, with a brown heel boot. Aaron wore a black sweater pullover from Old Navy, jeans from Dillard’s and classic Nike sneakers.

This coffee-inspired engagement shoot has us dying to go to the adorable Honeybee Coffee! Amy and Aaron’s relaxed engagement shoot is a reminder to couples everywhere to plan your wedding with elements that are important to you as a couple.
