Should I hire a professional makeup artist and hair stylist?

We think yes! Unless you just want your everyday hair and makeup look at your wedding, going with professionals is worth it. Not only do you feel pampered on your wedding day, it takes the stress and pressure off of yourself or a friend to do it for you. Using someone experienced ensures that you get exactly what you want on your wedding day, and eliminates the possibility of fighting with your bridesmaid for getting it wrong.

Should I go with airbrush or traditional makeup for my wedding?

Ultimately, it depends on the person and the skin type. The airbrush technique makes the photos look like the are pre-edited. Airbrush makeup is extremely durable and looks beautiful in photographs. However, if it is not done well, it can look flat. Airbrush is ideal for people with naturally even and smooth complexions, so if acne scars or deep under-eye bags are a concern, airbrush may not cover in the way you want.

If you like that dreamy, airbrushed look, a professional makeup artist should have no problem achieving that look with traditional makeup. Using someone who is experienced ensures that you get to look exactly how you want on your wedding day. Whether you want a natural look or a more dramatic appeal to your wedding makeup, the professionals are there to give you what you want.

P.S. both traditional makeup and airbrush makeup can be water resistant. While this does not mean fully waterproof, it will protect your makeup from being destroyed with your tears of joy during your wedding;)

How do I decide on a hairstyle for my wedding?

While looking through bridal magazines and Pinterest can help get you inspiration, it is important to know your hair and its limits. If you have short, fine hair, a luxurious fishtail braid is probably not the style for you. Fortunately, with the help of hair extensions and padding, professional stylists will be able to help you created the look you always dreamed of. We highly recommend doing a trial run with your stylist ahead of time so you can work together to figure out which look is perfect for you. No matter what your hair type, working with a professional will allow you to find the perfect style for you!
