Engagement Session at Estate of Grace Farm from Red Boat Photography

Blue jeans, flannels, crisp and cool air, warm colors… did someone say fall? These incredible engagement photographs taken by Knoxville-based Red Boat Photography pull together the best elements of a seasonal engagement shoot-- the changing leaves, cozy clothes and a crazy-in-love couple. What more could you ask for?

The first time these two met was at work. The bride told us their story, and we are just as in love with it as we are with these photos.

“I am a registered nurse at UT Hospital. I was taking care of a patient. Tim worked as a transporter, and he and another transporter had come to take a patient for testing. Tim said the first time he saw me, he thought he might need a defibrillator- his heart skipped a beat! He is always saying cute and sweet things like that!”

The rest was history… fast forward to this past fall, and the groom surprised the bride by popping the question on a date he planned. To her surprise, it included a walk in the cold weather. She wasn’t completely set on the idea, but she also had no idea what was in store. Don’t take it from us, here is her memory of what happened.

“I was reluctant to say the least. With the encouragement of my sister, I went. We started walking, it’s cold, he tells me to ‘look over there,’ so I look. When I turn back around, Tim is on one knee, and says ‘will you marry me?’”

This moment took the bride completely by surprise- she was so shocked that she made him repeat himself!

The couple chose to use their Corryton, Tennessee wedding venue, Estate of Grace, as the perfect backdrop to these memories. Views of House Mountain and Mt. LeConte, coupled with the changing leaves, make a stunning scene for outdoor engagement photos. Red Boat Photography did a wonderful job of capturing the couple’s connection and their love for one another.

Further personalizing their shoot, the couple highlighted two wooden signs, light blue and brown “save the date” pendants, a picture frame with their wedding date and a little bit of glitter. These decorations added contrast to the colors in the photographs and their unique details must have made for very special invitations and announcements.
