Dreamy Nuptials in Downtown Knoxville from JOPHOTO

Inspired by the soft earthy colors of succulents and classic wedding traditions, Katrina and Preston planned an utterly dreamy wedding in the heart of downtown Knoxville. Their classy soiree mixed all of the best things about a traditional church wedding with on-trend details, to-die-for flowers by LB Floral, and a jaw-dropping Hayley Paige wedding gown.

The very first time they met, Katrina knew Preston was too special to let out of her sight. While celebrating a mutual friend's birthday, she couldn't help but notice the new face in the crowd. "By the end of the night" she says, "after only making eye contact every now and then, his group of friends got ready to leave. I decided I had to take matters into my own hands. As Preston was about to walk out the door, I wrapped my arms around his waist and told him he couldn't leave yet. We have been together ever since!"

The magical winter proposal was followed by a surprise engagement party where friends and family were gathered at a nearby restaurant to celebrate. Then, it was on to the wedding planning.

It wasn't long before Katrina feel in love with the style of dress designer Hayley Paige, and a single trip to Nashville's Dress Theory revealed "the one." For the bridesmaids, mis-matched styles in colors inspired by succulents complimented the wedding's style perfectly. Preston stood out from the crowd in a light gray wedding suit, while his groomsmen were dapper in slate blue tuxedos.

When it came to the wedding flowers, Katrina and Preston entrusted their vision to Lesley Britt with LB Floral.

"She made the process so easy, and I immediately knew I could trust her. I simply presented her the colors I picked out for the bridesmaid dresses that were inspired by succulents, and she brought the vision to life. Seeing all the flowers for the first time on the wedding day was so exciting, and they were better than I could ever hope for. I loved my bouquet so much that I decided to get it professionally preserved!"

This thoughtful couple honored their family in many ways, from a memorial photo display to showing off their parents' and grandparents' wedding photos. Katrina also made sure she had "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a sixpence in her shoe." An heirloom ring, her grandmother's earrings, a "something blue" garter and a coin from her father's collection ticked all the boxes on the list.

Now it's time to feast your eyes on this stylish downtown Knoxville celebration! Be sure to check out all of the stunning images by JoPhoto in the gallery above.
