DIY Rose Bun

This rose bun hairstyle is so great for weddings! Whether you are a bridesmaid, bride, or wedding guest, you can do this on your own hair or have a friend do it for you with this easy, DIY wedding hair tutorial!  Thank you to hair and make-up artists, Southern Belle Beauty and to Danielle Evans Photography for capturing each step. Add a little floral accessories at the end for the perfect wedding day look!

Step 1:

Separate the hair into three sections – one on the side of the head, one on top of the head, and one larger section in the back. Pull the large section in the back into a ponytail.

Step 2:

Twist the ponytail into a traditional bun and pin with bobby pins to hold it in place.

Step 3:

Next, tease the top section of hair and pin it to the top of the bun. Smooth this section of hair with a comb. Add the remaining hair to the bun by twisting it around the existing bun. Pin it into place with bobby pins.

Step 4:

Lastly, comb the last section of hair to the back and twist it around the bun. It is important to smooth each layer of hair with a comb and hair spray it as you go. This will accentuate each layer of the rose bun. Smooth any fly aways and tuck loose ends into the bun with bobby pins. Hair spray and bobby pins are your best friend for this hair style!

Step 5:

Add a hair accessory or a few real flowers to complete this wedding day hairstyle!
