Elegant Wedding Hairstyle Bun with Southern Belle Beauty

Southern Belle Beauty keeps us up-to-date on all the latest trends, and this super sleek wedding hairstyle blew me way with it’s simplicity yet outstanding class and style! The most shocking piece used for this wedding hairstyle is a hair net. When Alex pulled a hair net out of her tool kit, I said, “What is that?!” Although using a hair does not sound stylish at all, it turned out to be the perfect tool to give this hairstyle texture and a secure hold. Brandalyn and Alex have been to multiple hair shows and seminars taught by world renown stylist. They assured me that this look is completely in for 2014, and I can see why! It is so elegant and perfect for any occasion!

Enjoy this wedding hair tutorial below with photos from Danielle Evans Photography as well as a quick make-up tip from Brandalyn .

Step 1: Tie Hair Back into a Ponytail

Using a comb and hairspray, part your hair and comb it back into a low ponytail. Do not worry about any bangs or short hair that may fall at this point.

Step 2: Attach the Hair Net

Using a hair net that matches your hair color, wrap the hair net around the ponytail. Than, attach the top of the net to the hairband with a bobby pin.

Step 3: Create a Bun

Twist the ponytail into a bun and secure it with bobby pins.

p 4: Pin Back Loose Hair

Pin back loose bangs or short hair and finish off with hairspray.

Step 5: Add Accessories

Lastly, add a cute accessory such as a hair flower!

Make-up Tips with Brandalyn

Brandalyn shows us how to make  lipstick last longer than ever with this easy, three step, application process.

Step 1: Apply Lip Liner

Apply lip liner around the edges of your lips then fill it in. This will give your lipstick a base which will make it last longer.

Step 2: Layer Lipstick

Apply a layer of lip gloss or lipstick, then blot once on a piece of tissue. Apply one more layer of lip gloss.

Step 3: Apply Translucent Powder

Lastly, apply translucent powder around your lips. This will help the lipstick from smearing (Brandalyn used Prep and Prime by Mac.)

And that’s it! This is such a great look that can be dressed up or down for night or day. I hope you enjoyed, and thank you so much to Southern Belle Beauty and Danielle Evans Photography for this great tutorial!
