Christmas Gift Wrapping Ideas We Love!

The designers at The Bride Link and Custom Love Gifts teamed up for a fabulous Christmas Style shoot that will soon hit the blog, but until then, we couldn’t wait to share these gift wrapping ideas that we designed for the shoot. By combining plaid, burlap, and satin-red ribbon, we took a simple box wrapped in craft paper to a whole new level! We also added the most adorable vintage name tags from Custom Love Gifts and pieces of greenery for a pop of color. Grab your favorite ribbon and join us as we discuss how to achieve the adorable looks below!

1. Off-Center Bow

Not every present has to have a typical bow placed directly in the center of the box. Consider placing your bow in the top quarter of the gift to give it a unique, and very striking look. Add a vintage gift tag from Custom Love Gifts for a personalized touch!

** Tip: When using craft paper to wrap your gifts, I found that adhering the seams with hot-glue instead of tape is the best technique for a secure seal and a clean, seamless look. Tape does not hold craft paper together for very long. **

2. Burlap and Ribbon

For this look, I used wired, burlap ribbon layered with strips of ripped fabric from my favorite country pattern. I added a bit of greenery from my back yard for a fun, textured look.

This is one of my favorite ways to wrap a present! The first layer of ribbon is a strip of red burlap layered with a gorgeous, red satin ribbon. A shiny jingle bell, holiday tag, and greenery make the perfect accents!

3. Plaid Galore!

Plaid and flannel are so in this year, and I had a ball incorporating it into these gifts! I found this wired, plaid ribbon at Hobby Lobby.

4. Jingle All the Way!

You’ll know when the kids are rattling the presents with this design! Jingle bells make the perfect accent for any gift!

5. Fabric Wrapped Boxes

Have you ever considered completely wrapping a gift using fabric? This idea is inspired from a recent photo shoot by Custom Love Gifts and Sarah McAffry. They used fabric and hot glue for the base, and tulle, tissue paper, and foil paper for the cute gathering at the top. Layers of ribbon with various patterns add depth and style. I’m in love!!
