Classy Pink and Navy Wedding

There is something to be said about classic weddings with timeless color schemes, and today’s wedding by Tonya Beaver Photography is the perfect example! I love the elegance that this wedding entails with the navy bridesmaid dresses, khaki groomsmen suits, and a gorgeous wedding gown. Needless to say Laura, the bride, has impeccable taste! Not only is the wedding gorgeous, but the couple’s story has me swooning! Below are some details of Laura and Nathan’s special day, and the events leading up to the “I do” moment!

The Meeting:

In 2005, Nathan and I were selected as summer camp counselors at Camp Montgomery, and we met on the first day of staff training. After the summer ended, we stayed in touch as friends for two years, despite attending separate schools (Nathan at UCF and Laura at UF). Two years later, we were reunited as part of the summer camp staff of 2007. Much to the dismay of the camp director, we began dating shortly thereafter, and have been madly in love ever since!

The Proposal:

For several years, Nathan and I exchanged photo albums as gifts. After Nathan secretly found and purchased a ring, he spoke with Laura’s dad, and he prepared a special photo album. When Nathan picked me up on Christmas Eve, he insisted that I open one gift early this year. Inside was a Christmas photo album with pictures from our four Christmases together. Each year included a photo and the date, and when I reached 2011, it simply said “Will you marry me?”

Advice For Other Brides:

I kept reminding myself that, no matter what, at the end of the day, I’d be married to my best friend. That thought kept me from stressing out over minor details, and reminded me of the true importance of the day – celebrating the beginning of a wonderful marriage!
